0

Once again, Virgin Broadband gets its position on top for being the provider of the UK’s fastest Broadband connection. The recent speed test results show that Virgin provides the fastest download speed.

The connections taken from Virgin’s fibre optic cable enjoyed average download speeds of 7.651Mbps in January. O2 Broadband / BE Broadband stay second with 5.113Mbps download speed. Virgin offers almost 50% higher speeds than those who hang about second. TalkTalk with 3.628Mbps and BT having 2.982Mbps rank third and fourth respectively.

Virgin ranks second in upload speeds with an average of 0.588Mbps upload speed while O2 and BE Broadband rank first with 0.716Mbps upload speed. In upload speed list too, BT finds third position with an average of 0.487Mbps connection speeds.

With 55% availability in the UK, Virgin’s super-fast broadband from fibre optic cable requires no BT phone line. Virgin offers attractive packages to those who newly try them. For those who purchase their 10Mbps connection online, free service is offered for the first three months, a fair £12.50 will be charged per month subsequently. The connection also offers free weekend calls to the UK landlines.
