TalkTalk to enter the Quad-play Bundle Providers League

talktalk-logo-300x225 TalkTalk to enter the Quad-play Bundle Providers LeagueReports suggest that it is just a matter of time before TalkTalk, one of the leading broadband and home phone bundle providers operating in the United Kingdom, adds mobile phone and digital TV services to its current range of services.

It is quite significant for the broadband provider firm owned by mobile phone retail giant Carphone Warehouse as, by launching these services TalkTalk would have itself elevated to the distinguished league of broadband providers in the United Kingdom that offers discounted bundle deals, such as Sky, BT and Virgin Media.

It is also worth noting that TalkTalk is also one of those providers involved in Project Canvas led by the BBC, which plans to launch a digital TV set-top box (internet connected) by the end of 2010.

It is obvious from the words of TalkTalk CEO Charles Dunston that their acquisition of the UK operations of Tiscali, has done a world of good for them in their promoting themselves to the league of quad-play bundle providers. Here it is very much likely that the broadband provider may capitalise on the existing TV platform of Tiscali as well as the service it had inherited as part of its Tiscali UK business acquisition last year.

Dunstone further commented on the possibilities ahead for TalkTalk TV that they required to be able to provide the people with TV, for carrying out which a platform was needed; and he thought that Canvas was a real viable opportunity for them.
