0

By the time of the third quarter results of famed reality show X-Factor in ITV, the sponsor TalkTalk, broadband deal of Carphone Warehouses, has benefited with an increase in its number of customers. By this sponsorship, TalkTalk got another 36,000 members to its customer list.

In the last two months, it is for the second time TalkTalk experienced such a boom. They are expected to cover their yearly target by this. The last time when they got enormous connections in bulk was when another broadband company, Tiscali UK dissolved into TalkTalk on 8th February 2010. Those existed customers of Tiscali were then reregistered under TalkTalk plans.

Carphone authorities say that in number of subscriptions, TalkTalk is second only to BT. TalkTalk claims to have more than 4 million customers now and the figure being growing at the fastest rate.

All these happen at the same time when the company witness high rate of deserters too. The recent acquirement of Tiscali results in massive leaving of about 20,000 former customers each month. The level is inexplicably high of all times. But TalkTalk seems to be of no tension, they says that this is not any unexpected to lose some of the former customers of Tiscali while the majority choose to stay with the acquirer.
