BT, the leading fixed-line broadband internet service provider operating in the United Kingdom has made news last day by announcing its new superfast business broadband packages that allow businesses in the country to benefit from access speeds of up to 40Mbps.

BT has dubbed its freshly launched business broadband packages as BT Total Fibre Broadband. The price of the business broadband packages start from GBP 30 per month. The speed provision of the packages amounts to 40Mbps download speeds and up to 10Mbps upload speeds.

Another benefit offered to the businesses by the newly announced business broadband deals of BT is their allowing them to run video conferencing of high definition resolution, multiple voice over internet protocol calls and other application of business grade. Besides these customers can also download FTP files, web pages and emails at the same time.

The managing director at BT Business, Nigel Stagg commented on the new product that the businesses currently using broadband packages of faster speeds to boost their website capabilities amounted to 28 per cent, while another 25 per cent were depending on it to run more online processes apart from employing more bandwidth-hungry applications according to their study carried out in 2009.

It has been reported that BT would be launching two packages. The first one, BT Total Buisness Broadband Fibre package would pack 40Mbps download speeds and 2Mbps upload speed and the second one; BT Total Business Broadband Fibre Plus package comes with an upload speed of 10Mbps. Both the packages can be purchased with a 12 month or 24 month contract options.
