Shadow Minister for Science and Innovation, Adam Afriyie says that the high speed Fibre-optic broadband network can ensure the competitive growth of businesses firms in Britain.

He added that, although many companies of universal fame are in the UK, it’s found that competitive growth which is essential for the development of economy is low in the nation. Super-fast fibre optics internet service is the best solution for this need, he says.

The shadow MP mentioned that, it’s quite disgusting that a developed country like Britain with unlimited recourses lags behind other 24 nations in terms of broadband speeds. Plans to raise broadband speeds so as to improve economical growth are essential in the UK. He also added that, the BT’s move to open its ducts for rivals is an appreciable step.

These comments from the MP came soon after an agency complained that, the plans on improving broadband speeds from both the Conservative and Labour are insufficient to meet the demands.
