The research observed them making good use of the latest fibre optic broadband services as well as other services for staying online.

It was disclosed by the agency that carried out the research that one out of every four stay-at-home mothers were spending more time online during the day time than the time they used to carry out household chores such as cooking and other housework.

The agency that conducted the relevant research, Winmonkey.co.uk further found out that among the popular activities of the stay-at-home mothers were shopping, going through forums, online gaming and social networking.

Meanwhile, the founder of the research website Winmonkey, Sam Notaro commented that striking the right balance between the routine responsibilities and the time spent on  the internet was extrmely signiifcant, which was something the website had asked its consumers to be mindful of.

Notaro added that shopping websites and gaming websites on the internet were greatly popular as the research had already shown.

The release of the report of the research by Winmonkey, a leading gaming competition website has come following another study carried out by Gocompare.com, which revealed that 14.4 per cent of broadband consumers had switched their broadband provider in the past twelve months.
