Standard broadband speed exceeds the limit of 4MB
Earlier 4MB was considered to be the average broadband speed in the UK. This broadband speed limit is said to have crossed the mark of 4MB recently. According to the data provided by the tests done in April, a record of broadband speed 4.1MB has been attained all over the UK.
Virgin Media claims to have recorded the fastest download of 6.2Mb previous month under the trial 200Mb service. They own the credit of being the fastest broadband provider in the country and offers speeds up to 50Mb. Next to Virgin Media is O2 offering an average speed of 6Mb and above. With Be the company shares a network and has revealed that they offer highest peak time downloads of 5.9Mb, that is between 6pm and midnight.
TalkTalk Unlimited Broadband Provider secures the third place among the ISP’s offering highest broadband speeds with a standard download speed of 3.4Mb. Virgin media comes forward condemning that accurate measurement of their super fast 20Mb and 50Mb services is not possible, though they have topped the list.
