Necessary price reduction for Broadband Deals

0

Earlier, the customers who wished to end their broadband plans before the contract ends were required to pay a huge amount, but now the price is reduced by up to 85%. Ofcom, the telecommunications regulator worked hand in hand with BT, TalkTalk and Virgin Media, and made this reduction.

When a broadband user wishes to cancel the contract he need not pay more than what is agreed on the contract. For above 18 months these three companies were watched by Ofcom. Although they refused to agree on their high charges they agreed to the new reductions. Under the new reduction, the termination fee is reduced to £8, which was once equal to £33.40.

With this reduction, users can save significant amounts on their bills and they can ditch their contacts anytime. According to a representative of Ofcom, Peter Phillips they were happy to see with BT, TalkTalk and Virgin Media make the reductions during early termination of the contracts. Other telephone and broadband provides will soon make similar reductions.
