Orange, the primary operator to announce plans for Apple’s iPad device
Orange has publicized their data plans for iPad from Apple. However, it did not attract any interest, says reports.
The user will have to pay 5p per MB, and a £40 on PAYG. The costs for the packages are £2 a day per 200MB, £7.50 a week for 1GB as well as the continuing monthly charge of £15 for 3GB. Meanwhile, the monthly charge for 10 GB is £25, providing access for 750MB WiFi data every month.
Orange’s package called Racoon offer 1.5 GB for just £10 a month. However, if you are not planning on continuing with the package, the user also has an option of 1GB monthly quota, with £10 monthly charge.
The mobile phone operator also caters to the current light net browsers offering a 500MB plan with a mere £5 charged a month.
In the meantime, frequent users looking to continue with Orange for 1 ½ years, the apt plan is the data package, known as Panther. It is the only service, at present available, which provides unrestricted internet access, at monthly cost of £35.
The AT& T package for iPad in the US is announced for a meagre $29.99, which is almost half the cost of the package offered by Orange.
