Ofcom is to produce report on Land Line and Mobile Broadband ISP Coverage

Ofcom, the UK’s communication regulator has to produce clear report about the UK’s fixed line, broadband, mobile and broadcast services and networks every year as required by the section 1 controversial (DEA) Digital Economy Act 2010. It has been announced by the regulator that the first reports will be based on landline and Mobile Broadband coverage.

Along with other aspects, the UK’s communication Infrastructure Report by the regulator also cover the roll-out of “super-fast” broadband and it will help to recognize the areas that need investment. Besides, it will look at the level of wholesale arrangements and network infrastructure sharing between communication suppliers. The standards of the UK networks and services will be compared with other countries too. Till 30th September 2010, the consultation will continue.
