O2 launches laptops with Integrated Mobile Broadband
O2, this morning announced plans to launch two new laptops-the Asus UL30A and Samsung N150 netbook. These laptops will come with in-built 3G mobile broadband connectivity. These laptops were expected to be available exclusively on O2.
Felix Geyr, the Head of Home and Broadband at O2 reports that customers who buy the laptops from O2 will gain award winning customer service. They also benefit from added services for free as compared to other service providers, who charge for the same. According to the report, both the mobile broadband and laptop deals provide 300 texts and a warranty valid for a 24-month period. They also offer 30 days “O2 Techies support.
The Samsung Netbook, with a 10.1 inch screen is expected to be available for a monthly cost of £25. The Netbook will feature a 160GB hard drive and 1GB of RAM. It would offer a 3 GB data usage in addition to the 500MB of Wi-Fi. There will also be a one off £29.99 charge levied on it. The netbook will be accessible on a 2- Year contract from this day.
Meanwhile, the Asus UL30A, a slim design laptop provides a good battery life. It comes, featuring an Intel dual-core (Core 2 Duo SU7300 / 1300 MHz) processor and a 500GB hard drive. The laptop will offer a 3GB of data usage and 750MB of Wi-Fi, at a charge of £30, monthly. Report also claims that it will also have a one –time cost of £79.99. This however will be available from May 2010, on a 20 year contract.
Customers tend to look for a service that helps for easy access, sans the trouble of loading up the mobile broadband dongle, says Geyr. He goes on to conclude that the new range of products would allow for effortless net surfing, without this hassle.
