O2 launches broadband services
The UK has got its new broadband provider. O2 has launched their broadband service in the UK on 15th of this month. They have started off their new service by offering an impressive package of 100 days money back guarantee for those customers who are not satisfied with their service.
This package will be active for all the customers who signs up O2 broadband till the end of January 2008. O2 Broadband has put forward three separate tariffs for different download speeds. The rates start from £7.50 per month. The company will charge £25 per month for a 20 MB line, with a £10 discount for O2 mobile phone customers. Now, that was a good new for O2 mobile phone customers. Additionally O2 Broadband includes free McAfee security and parental controls software.
Matthew Key, chief executive of O2 UK stated that O2 Broadband plans to shudder up the market by offering a scientifically advanced service which will surely meet the customer’s demands. Latest news is that O2 has hit a deal with search engine Yahoo! to carry its services on O2′s mobile broadband service.
O2 Broadband will make use of the sophisticated and good quality broadband networks in the UK and use the latest ADSL2+ broadband technology as well. O2 Broadband will cover 50% of the population initially with their main focus on major urban areas and depending on the demands of the customers; their network will be spread further.
