Nearly 50% of Brits use broadband internet connection
As per a recent analysis held, it has been found-out that almost six in ten British families use the internet by means of a broadband connection. This means that more than half of the Brits have broadband internet connection.
According to the facts made available by Eurostat this week, it is publicized that 57% of the UK households use broadband when compared to the statistics of the same taken last year. Last year this was just 44%.
Almost 67% of British homes at present have some form of internet access. During the year 2006, this was 63%. When it comes to online activities, more than two-thirds of Britons use the web to utilise search engine facilities, while 62% decide on for sending email attachments and 35% for downloading software.
Earlier this year, research by Eurostat exposed that 72% of young people aged between 16 and 24 in the UK use the internet at least once a week, when put side by side with 57% of all population aged between 16 and 74.
