One of the websites, in the UK conducted a test among the greatest mobile broadband service providers in the country. The test was accomplished over a 350 mile train journey spanning Cambridge to Bournemouth and back.

T-Mobile is reported to have topped the test, claiming a broadband connection speed of over 3 Mbps. However, during the trip, it was averaged 1.9 Mbps. Part of the test required you to download a 20 Mb podcast file. According to the report, T-Mobile is expected to have taken just 22 seconds for the same.

The team had tested dongles from the providers over the course of the trip. They include 3, O2, Orange, T Mobile, Virgin Media and Vodafone. Meanwhile, the report claims that mobile broadband is something of a paradoxical term, especially in terms of the service that we use while actually mobile.
