Meeting basic needs for broadband customers

0

Almost all the broadband customers are aware of the fact that they won’t be able to achieve the speeds that are advertised but they are in need of a service that will fulfill their basic needs.

According to Tom Newton of Broadband Finder this can be anything like browsing the net, checking social networking sites and downloading.

He also mentioned that if the internet service providers fail in meeting basic requirements of the consumers then they are very likely to switch to another company.

This comment from Mr. Newton comes after major ISPs signed up for Ofcom’s voluntary broadband speed code.

There will be more accurate information given to customers about the connections they can be expecting in their area.

At the point of sale, an explanation of fair usage policies will be provided, and if the speed is lower than what is predicted, then an alternative package should be offered.

The agreement which came into existence on December 5th, has seen more than 95% of its customers covered.
