Malware victims to be notified by Virgin media

Virgin Media, a popular cable and fibre optic broadband internet provider in the UK has announced that they will inform customers when they are attacked by the Malware. The malware victims will be contacted by the ISP through mail and will offer free security checks and the malware removal service performed by the Virgin media itself.

Jon James, executive director for Virgin Media broadband suggests that they have been emailing malware affected customers and encouraging them for check-ups, helping the up-date security package for their computers. In addition, the ISP provides free advice to solve the problem. The ISP claims Virgin Media Security as one of the excellent security packages available.

Details on the spread of the malware infections have been offered by the security organizations working for banking sectors and government to the internet service provider. These data will be used by the Virgin media to alert malware victim customers.
Virgin media said that around 25 per cent of the received complaints were in relation to the connection speed due to the malware infections. The immediate action of malware education followed the incident that took place recently were Zeus v3 Trojan resulted in the loss of GBP 675,000 from the online customers of the UK bank.
