New Broadband Minister to come to charge, soon

0

Chief Executive of the Independent Networks Co-Operative Association (INCA), Malcolm Corbett informs the UK Corporation that they were looking to appoint a Broadcast Minister quite soon.

He reveals that without a minister, the UK broadband was in a major jeopardy of being awry. This, he further claims; could have a negative impact on UK’s stance as a cut-throat competitor.

He also mentions the name of the Culture Minister, Ed Vaizey as the best contender for the post of Broadcast Minister. The reason he puts forward is that Vaizey usually has knowledge on all the major issues.

We can also look forward t o see if the current ConLib coalition government will launch the 2Mbps broadband throughout the country. The former Labour government also expected to finance the project, via the broadband tax, introduced by them.

Meanwhile, Simon Peter from Consumer Choice also concludes that they planned to find an alternative method, rather than unfairly charging the businesses tax. It would moreover be interesting to take notice of the view of the party, Liberal Democrat on this issue.
