4 million customers for Virgin Media

0

Reports say that in the last quarter, the subscribers of Virgin Media increased to over 4 million. This was achieved with 39,000 new customers subscribing for the fibre broadband provider.

Among the 4 million broadband subscribers, almost 72% or 2.7 million subscribers have up to 10Mb or faster broadband package. Surprisingly, Virgin Media have increased those on 10Mb or faster broadband by 157% annually. Above all, the broadband customers are getting the most for their money when it comes to their communications services, with 60% of Virgin Media customers having broadband, TV and home phone bundles which help reduce the costs. Almost 10% of Virgin Media customers take all 4 of their services which includes mobile phone service along with broadband, digital TV and home telephone.

As Virgin Media is reducing the cost of their 50Mb broadband in September, the possibility for more subscribers to sing up with them is high. They expect almost more than 20,000 new subscribers by the end of the quarter, when compared to the last quarter. This rise in subscribers for high speed broadband proves that there is big appetite for faster broadband speeds in the UK.
