 2.4 Million Broadband Customers for Sky BroadbandReports say that the leading TV and broadband bundle provider operating in the United Kingdom, Sky has added to its already mammoth customer base, 101000 more customers over the last quarter of 2009. This achievement of Sky has culminated in taking the total customer base of the broadband provider to 2.4 million.

It is worth noting here that the broadband packages of Sky has been chosen by around a quarter of the customers of its. Meanwhile, the number of Sky customers that took one of its triple play bundles with broadband, home phone and TV surged to reach 18 per cent.

Another interesting news is that Sky Broadband, which now has 500,000 customers linked to its LLU network, has to realise this, had all its planned local exchanges unbundled. It is understood that following this tactic has allowed it to offer many of its consumers cheaper broadband internet service.

According to the chief executive officer of Sky Broadband, Jeremy Darroch’s comments, they have just finished having another fruitful quarter in an apparently tough environment, and with more customers taking to Sky a stronger demand has arisen across their full product range.

It was also announced by the broadband provider that it would start in a very short time, offering high definition set-top boxes as standard. Besides Sky is also in haste owing to its launching the first dedicated TV channel with 3D properties in Spring.
