There has been a suggestion put forwarded wherein the government should take initiative steps to promote and make high speed broadband available. A Think tank suggests that government should take special interest in this area giving shape to this whole country wide High speed broadband project.

Investment in the field of Internet infrastructure will lead to increment of funds for the expansion of public sector broadband, this was the commented by The Social Market Foundation (SMF). Broadband is an effective medium through which public service can be delivered and boosted. For attaining this progress improvements should be made in the present UK’s internet infrastructure.

If full coverage is not made possible it will widen the digital gap that persisted in the country. According to communications Minister Stephen Carter broadband should be treated in par with other broadcasting and should be given the stature of public service. He put forward this statement on a policy discussion of public service funding.Even the entry of high speed broadband will do little harm to broadcasts such as BBC was the opinion of Jessica Prendergrast, a senior research fellow at the SMF. Although, she said, the step for making high-speed broadband a top priority should be catered otherwise the benefits of it will remain to the youths.
