November 18, 2008
Supanet is a prominent name in the field of Internet service provider. It came in to existence in the year 1998 and within a small span of time it has proved itself. The availability of free Internet access in March 1999 was a crucial step taken by the company, which determined its faith. For now the company is growing in rapid pace and it is considered to be the fast growing ISPs in the country. It has almost a million registered customers to its credit.
A face lift was given to the portal and then known in a new web mail. This improvement was made in the year 2005. At present this company supports 20 and more channels referring to topics such as news, entertainments, sport, travel, horoscopes, competitions and online games which are few of the long lists.
Supanet is equal to real ISP were the whole of the infrastructure and telecommunication system is owned by them. Thus freedom in operation and regulation is made possible. Thus the company gets to plans various schemes for its customers and develop the infrastructure better. The company is able to provide 45 percent more than their customer expectations.
Another advantage of this service is that calls from the customers come directly to the dial-up to Supanet, whereby better management of the calls is offered. This is not the case of Virtual ISP, here the calls are attended by third parties and thus the effectiveness of the calls is lowered. Later on it reaches the destination and in between the routes if any trouble is caused then there is no chance of any re route options by them.
Complete deliverance of e-commerce package is facilitated as Supanet has the capacity of links, space and database experts.
The company Supanet was ranked as the fifth-largest ISP in the UK. Thus the qualitative service and enhanced functions of the company can be understood.
Another study reveals that Supanet has succeeded in reaching the expectation of the customers and enabling greater access.

The mobile cum broadband provider Orange released its financial results of the third quarter which shows that its number of broadband customers has doubled during the last quarter. Now, there are 1,42,000 Orange broadband customers in the UK who get ADSL broadband provided by the ISP. Compared with this number, total Orange customers were just 52,000 three months ago i.e. by the end of June 2007.
When we analyse the results and performance of Orange broadband along with the general scenario of ADSL growth in UK, the growth in number of Orange customers is quite outstanding. UK broadband providers who provide ADSL broadband like BT, AOL and UK Online had witnessed more than ten percent year on year growth in terms of revenue thanks to the increasing network of unbundled lines which stimulated the broadband uptake across the UK. Out of total connections, ADSL contributed 26.7 percent by the end of September this year which is twice the number of ADSL connections added last year.
In this context, Orange fared well by doubling its customer base during the last quarter.
Orange, recently, made some innovations in its product line by launching packages like Home Starter, Home Select and Home Max. These packages are wireless compatible and you also get option to bundle Orange phone services with your Orange broadband package.
