Post Office Broadband is leaving behind itself quite a mark in the broadband market with its new services, affordability and easy use.

History
The history of the Post Office dates quite a few centuries back. It was at earlier just a network of shops owned independently and with the basic job of selling stamps and delivering packages. However, this has all changed in the recent past and Post Office has become a national retail company and is currently part of the Royal Mail Group, along with Royal Mail and Parcelforce worldwide. It now offers a variety of services including home broadband and even home phones.

The number of Post Offices across the British Isles have increased manifold ever since it’s humble beginnings almost three and a half centuries ago. The company that is today came into being in 1986 and has more than 14,300 branches all across the British Isles. The company claims that almost the entire population of Britain are always close to a Post Office at any given place at any given time.

With the Post Office becoming a company, an array of other services has been included. Most notable among this is the financial services which are being offered which include services like loans, credit cards and even a variety of insurance packages. For a company with such a rich history in communication, it is only the right of the Post Office to enter the very competitive broadband ISP market. This entry of the Post Office is also seen as a tribute to its 360 year heritage.
