Be removes monthly cap from Be Value

November 10, 2007

UK broadband suppliers often revamp their packages to bring value to their product line. When they change the specifications of their packages, we either see an upgrade in speed or removing monthly cap from new packages. Apart from these, new features are also added like free calls or special offer of router/modem or taking away connection fee. This customer-appeasing trend has been going on for long time as the fierce competition among UK ISPs in UK broadband industry is the major reason behind it.

Recently, Be also introduced an important change in its entry-level package – Be Value. There are both good and bad news for Be Value customers. The good news is, the monthly cap of this package (4 GB) was removed. However, the speed was degraded from 24 Mb Broadband to 8 Mb (certainly it’s a bad news for Be Value customers who love speed). The balancing factor is the price of the package per month which is unchanged (£14).

Now, all Be packages – Be Value, Be Unlimited and Be Pro – come with unlimited broadband usage which you may find attractive providing that you are not a heavy user during peak hours as Be’s fair usage policy will still restrict your usage during peak hours.

Be has also slashed the monthly cost of Be Unlimited and Be Pro  which come with a monthly price of  £18 and  £22 respectively.
